MCCT - Maastricht Consensus Conference on Thrombosis (MCCT) 2022

We are very happy to announce the 5th MCCT, which will take place in 2024 in Hotel Crowne Plaza in Maastricht, The Netherlands.

Blood coagulation and beyond

Welcome to attend this meeting

The main theme for the 5th MCCT meeting will focus on “Blood coagulation and beyond”, expressing the importance of blood coagulation elements as regulators of hemostasis, but also in a range of diseases: from myocardial infarction and stroke, to cancer, sepsis and other major morbidities. One essential feature of the blood coagulation system is that it is not confined by boundaries: clotting regulates beyond the vessel wall, at the cellular level.

Within the MCCT meeting we assemble faculty, students and other participants to together sketch outlines for future research, with the outcome being published in a major scientific journal.

All physicians and scientists involved or interested in thrombosis and hemostasis are very much welcome to attend this meeting!

CAS-AM - Certificate of Advanced Studies in Antithrombotic Management
Shaping the future of Thrombosis Care

This unique programme, the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Antithrombotic Management (CAS-AM) will train you to become a future expert in anticoagulation management. With the knowledge gained, you will be able to deliver state-of-the-art-all round thrombosis expert services in the years ahead.

Why this course?

Highly interactive problem-based course

While the quality of antithrombotic medication has markedly increased over past decades, the spectrum of agents and possible combinations becomes overwhelming.

A consequence is that new generations of physicians are faced with an extensive choice of antithrombotic drugs, while traditional agents are also still prescribed. Knowledge of the different drug characteristics now become challenging issues to deal with. At the same time, mistakes in prescription and lack of structured follow up of antithrombotic agents, may have serious consequences. Thus, careful management of these agents is pivotal.

“This highly interactive problem-based course was established in close collaboration with renowned experts in the field to train physician’s how to “survive” in this challenging field, and more importantly to become antithrombotic specialists who are able to take the lead in order to provide first class, state of the art training and support to colleagues and patients alike.”
